15 September 2014; Seasons of Change

Entryway

As we slide into Fall, we’ve gotten a new list of suggestions to share from our new interactive Seasons of Change exhibit!

  • Turn off lights – Gracee
  • Be modest with water usage and east less meat
  • Turn off the lights when not using them or in a different room – Davis Family
  • Support sustainable farming – i.e. for coffee!
  • Stop our GREED! We can live on less of every material thing!
  • Take shorter showers and wash 1 or 2 large laundry laods instead of multiple small ones – Allison M., VA Beach
  • Conscious consumption! Not eating meat doesn’t reduce greenhouse gasses and everyone as vegetarians would kill the ecosystem. Be aware of what you’re eating and where it comes from! – Sky, Sydney, AUS
  • Have and energy efficiency expert come to your home and make recommendations. This service in Charlottesville (VA) is called L.E.A.P. The inspector’s services are compensated by LEAP, but free to the homeowner. 0% loans are available to make changes. The inspector also replaces all your lightbulbs with CFs free of charge (I had 9 🙁 )
