If you’ve been to the museum before, you probably remember our display by the military hats showcasing medals. These medals were produced by the government in commemoration to, currently, 32 tribes that had participating members in the Code Talkers of WWI and WWII.
One of the things we do during the winter is clean and give new faces to exhibits. So this year, we took the time to give a fresh polish to all 64 coins!
We also had a selection of medals that were awaiting names. As you may recall, we offered visitors and patrons to purchase a set of medals to donate under someone’s name. This could have been the individual purchasing or they could select a name of their choosing!
With the last names finally in, we reprinted all the labels to they’re all fresh and new. We will also be adding a sign with more information very shortly!
