28 February 2022; Temporary Exhibit Closure

We’re very excited to announce that we’re officially in the construction phase of getting a much needed new roof for the museum! Unfortunately for visitors, this means that we’ve got to close off the exhibit focused on the local history as well as the book room part of the gift shop for a while.

Once the roof project is complete, we are also going to get started on rebuilding the local exhibit to be better than ever!

We are so grateful to the crew that is doing the work and can’t wait to unveil our upgrades to all of you! We also appreciate your patience and understanding about the necessary exhibit closures.

Here’s to wonderful things in 2022!

This exhibit is sponsored in part by the Outer Banks Community Foundation and the Dare County Arts Council
