Some dolls were featured with exquisite details portraying every day life. For example, this doll hows a small mammal, probably a beaver, held up by a hunter.
The diet of the Inuit people consisted mainly of meats due to the lack of edible plants during the harsh months of winter. Before the fur trade with the Europeans led to over hunting of the animal, beavers were a major source of food for the Inuit.
