We Have Exciting New Additions for the Gift Shop!
SeaFeathers Jewelry is a fantastic couple with Passamaquoddy heritage that we recently had the joy of meeting. You can visit the museum gift shop to see one of the many gorgeous pieces we carry and take one home with you!
What Makes Their Work Special?
The husband and wife couple, Loretta & Dave, each have their own, distinct styles and each piece is one of a kind and will NEVER be replicated! The best part is that the majority of their stone, shell, and seaglass come from along the Algonquin coastline! The only exception is in some of the more detailed work that Loretta creates has some glorious beads such as spiny oyster heishi or sterling silver findings.
They travel from the shores of Eastern Canada to the Outer Banks of North Carolina collecting pieces for their work. All their seaglass is found (not man-made), and all of their quahog (wampum) pieces are from right here in the Outer Banks. Other materials you’ll find in their work include lobster claw, scallop pearls, multiple types of jasper, unakite, clam shell, sea snail, olive shell, lapis lazuli, lavender seaglass, quartz, and so much more! These are truly a treasure and you simply MUST come by and see them! Find the perfect gift and claim one for yourself while you’re there!
