The Frisco Native American Museum & Natural History Center recently completed a new exhibit showcasing items that were confiscated by NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) and the US Fish and Wildlife Service.
” We were pleased when a representative from NOAA approached us to ask if we would be willing to create an exhibit reminding the public that it is illegal to own or purchase parts, pelts, or crafts made from endangered species,” said Carl Bornfriend, executive director of the museum.
Items shown in the exhibit are on loan from NOAA and the US fish and Wildlife Service and include a broad range — from cans of green sea turtle soup, a whale bone carving, seal skin belt, alligator hide boots, moccasins with fur seal tops and other amazing crafts.
Be sure to stop by the museum and see the new additions.
