You may have seen before that we recently got a grant to work on our local exhibit. We just received one of our pieces that has been impressively reworked by the artist and long time volunteer, Helen Kennedy.
Our mannequin was in desperate need of some work. Though she had been reworked before, the original shape of the mannequin was deformed from the attempt.
But with her makeover, she looks like a native elder ready for placement in the future exhibit! Her new position will be to facilitate storytelling inside a cattail covered longhouse.
We are so grateful for Helen’s outstanding ability and her willingness to share her gifts with us and can’t wait to unveil the whole exhibit next spring!
