Dancing & Drumming

July 15 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Free With Admission

Celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Frisco Native American Museum by…..

joining two incredible volunteers that have served as head dancers at Pow Wows; Thunder and E Nah Dah from Eastern Band Cherokee of North Carolina as they demonstrate Native American dances and explain their significance.

Drums and dance have always been, and continue to be, an important part of native culture: Drums are called the Heartbeat of the Earth to guide the music. Dance is a way in which we express our culture, honor our ancestors, celebrate life, and even keep our stories alive.

Participants will have the opportunity to join in some social dances so they can share in the experience and joy of this beautiful tradition.

All ages welcome, no experience necessary.

Event is FREE with museum admission
