Listen to an Abenaki Elder Tell Stories

We are so excited to welcome back Elder Francine Jones from the Abenaki! Though the Abenaki are up in Maine, they’re Algonquin speaking relatives to the Croatoan people of Hatteras. In recent years, she’s had popular presentations that have grabbed the attention of adults and children alike.

Francine has a Feather Dance reserved for when children are in attendance, so make sure to bring your little ones with you!

Learn a mosquito song that’s said to keep our tiny biting neighbors from biting us as we’re walking outside.

We’d love to be able to share this experience with you next week and hope to see you there!

Don’t Forget!

We’ve also got our Limited Edition Gear for sale on the website! These items are online only and will be shipped directly to you via a small local business here in North Carolina!

We’ve got Mugs and Clothing that you definitely want to check out! You can even wear your shirt to the event!
