Celebrate 40 Years with Our Nature Trail Experience

We are celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the Frisco Native American Museum. To mark this occasion, we have a new Story Walk on our Nature Trail! Stroll down our free trail as you read the Lakota story of how porcupine got his quills. Learn how Porcupine and Spider worked together against Bear and Wolf.

This story has been adapted by museum staff to best fit into the trail boards. Illustrations and layout have been fully artist designed by our staff member, Amber Roth.

The trail is open any time during daylight hours and only approximately 1/4 mile. You are encouraged to walk the trail even when the indoor museum exhibits are closed.

What story would you like to see in the future years? Join our Volunteer Run Facebook Group and share what you’d like us to produce! You can also support us by donating to our GoFundMe to fund future Natural History projects.

We also have scheduled several events that you can find on our Events Page! With at least one event every month, you don’t want to miss it!
