Aug 12 Traditional Native American Dances
August 12 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm
Free With Admission
Dances have always been, and continue to be, an important part of native culture. Dance is a way in which we express our culture, honor our ancestors, celebrate life, and even keep our stories alive.
Join two incredible volunteers that have often served as head dancers at PowWows, Thunder and E Nah Dah from Eastern North Carolina Cherokee, as they demonstrate Native American dances and explain their significance.
Participants will have the opportunity to join in some social dances so they can share in the experience and joy of this beautiful tradition.
All ages welcome, no experience necessary.
Two times will be available for this event, at 11 AM and again at 2 PM.
