Events of the indigenous people in what we now call the United States was a time to share of the stories of the significance of our songs and dances as was a way of bringing community together and keeping culture alive. It was a way to foster understanding among different people as it became sharing of culture when neighboring nations would come together.
Get to ready to be a part of that experience as Jack Mcclung shares knowledge about the songs and dances common to the Eastern Woodland peoples. Learn about round dances, snake dance, stomp dance, smoke dance, and a variety of others. Participants will also have the opportunity to join in!
