2021 Native Journeys Festival

Event Date:

13 March, 2020

Event Time:

5:22 PM

Event Location:

Frisco Native American Museum

We have to change the date for our Annual Native Journey Festival!

In an effort to help curtail spread of the coronavirus, Governor Roy Cooper has called for the cancellation or postponement of gatherings in North Carolina of more than 100 people. In response to that action, the Frisco Native American Museum has cancelled the Native Journeys Festival scheduled for April 25 & 26, 2020. Clearly this is a difficult step for us, but the health and well being of the people who support the museum are our most important considerations.

At the present time, the museum will remain open on its regular schedule, and we will make programming decisions as the situation evolves. We expect to offer the Music & Dance Festival in 2021

Event FAQs

Can we bring our pets?
No, due to insurance restrictions you are not permitted to bring pets onto the grounds.

We will of course allow service animals, but visitors will be expected to be able to answer ADA specific questions to ensure staff is aware of needs that may be required from the animal's trained tasks. (Example, if a dog is trained to go to someone for help, we can alert the staff to avoid confusion if the need should arise)
Will there be parking?
Parking will be along the Airport Road across from the museum and the lot NEXT TO the Frisco Rod & Gun. We ask that you do not park IN the lot for the Frisco Rod & Gun as that is for their customers.
Is admission at the gate cash only?
You can use both card or cash for admission, but you will be asked to pay inside the museum if you're using a card.
Where is the nearest ATM?
Next door at the Frisco Rod & Gun.
If I need to leave the event, can I come back?
Yes! But your admission only covers a single day. So you may come back any time during the event same day, but you may not use that admission to return the next day.

We will be stamping the hands of those that have paid admission with a different stamp for each day to help our staff identify that you've paid your admission.
We're all staying in the same house down here, does that count as a Household?
No.

Household admission is reserved for those that have the same permenant address. ID will be asked for if over 2 adults are being claimed within a household.
Is this event child friendly?
Absolutely! We are planning to have several activities specifically for children to enjoy (and adults too!) such as participating in dances and making crafts with the help of our fantastic volunteer staff!
Can we go see the museum?
We actually encourage you to use this opportunity to go and see all of the incredible exhibits in the museum as your admission is covered with purchace of event ticket!
