Lots of folks have looked at the piles of debris in front of the museum and called to ask about our recovery.
If that much stuff came OUT of the museum, surely some things needed to go IN. One call was from a member of the Virginia and Frances Meekins (Coastland Times) family to ask if we could use bookcases and finished shelving boards. Can we ever!
A wonderful museum worker picked up two trailer loads of bookcases, bases, and boards. Pure treasure.
The beautiful bookcases will transform our book room and still give us much needed shelving for exhibit reconstruction.
Thanks, thanks, THANKS to the Meekins family for this FANTASTIC gift! It is a HUGE boost to our recovery efforts!
