Our New Pollinator Sign!

When we announced a GoFundMe to try and raise funds for a very large outdoor sign, we were delighted to reach our goal with mind-blowing speed! We sent it ASAP to Hatteras Island Vinyl Graphics in Buxton and waited patiently for the call. We knew it would be special but wow wow WOW! You have to see it in person!

While there are still upgrades to our Natural History Center that are waiting to get done, you can see what a difference it made! As the Nature Trails are open any time during daylight hours, you are welcome to check it out free of charge! Most of the photos were taken here on Hatteras Island by our staff member, Amber Roth, who is often inside the museum.

We’d like to thank everyone that donated to our GoFundMe program, but especially Pamela Boneweaver Jones and Linda Meyer Browning. We’d also like to thank Matt Bertone from the Plant and Insect Lab of NC State Extension office, Jade Lyf of British Columbia Bee Society, and Sloan Tomlinson aka That Wasp Guy for their support and assistance. And of course, Hatteras Island Vinyl Graphics for helping us produce another incredible piece we’re proud to display!
