It takes a village to BUILD a village!

We hope you’ve seen our most recent update to what has been done in our Village Project. Our volunteers have been working hard to get our longhouse looking fantastic! We have had wonderful reviews from our summer visitors so far, but we still have a long ways to go!

Last week, we posted the information for a volunteer opportunity in October. We will be gathering at the museum to work on (hopefully) completing the longhouse!

Helping hands aren’t all we need!

Our grant from the Outer Banks Community Foundation has allowed us to get this far. But your donations are still wanted AND needed!

We have added making an artificial garden to our village plans as well as creating pre-colonial regalia. That also means more volunteer hours and more funds. Help us achieve our dream by donating to our GOFUNDME campaign and be a part of our project, no matter where you are! You can also find the widget on the right side bar of our website.

We’ve got a lovely selection of perks that have already gone out to those that have donated. Don’t miss your chance to get one of our handmade “Thank You” gifts too!
