In 2019 we posted about the Navajo Quilt Project and shared that information again in 2020 and 2021. We have been overwhelmed at the tremendous outpouring of support and want to thank everyone for their generosity.
The supervisor for the Navajo Nation Shiprock Senior Center in New Mexico contacted us this week to thank us for getting out information about the project and to request that donations be put on hold. She wrote
Because of Covid-19 my center is not doing any sewing with the elders so please stop all shipments/donations of sewing material to the Shiprock Senior Center.
We will post any updates as we receive them.
