We’re all trying to do our best to help each other out during these interesting times. We at the museum have decided to do TWO things to help ease your boredom along with our free coloring book pages!

Our first will be on April 4th. Many of you have seen that the Smithsonian Museum Day Live event was moved from September to April earlier this year. With the closure of the museum due to the orders to Stay Home & Stay Safe, we wanted to find a way we could still celebrate the event while keeping our door closed. What we came up with, is a Facebook Live video where we take you through some of the museum (especially our local exhibit) on April 4th!

You can watch live on our Facebook Page at noon on April 4th! You can also watch the video as we’ll leave it up on our Facebook Page after the live event ends!

Our second idea comes from our beloved Dr. Tina Bradley. She has kindly offered to write names in the Cherokee “alphabet”! Simply fill out the form below and it will go directly to her! She’ll write you back with your name in the Cherokee “alphabet” as well as pronunciation!

We hope that you all are staying safe and hope to see you as soon as this is over!
