30 October 2023; Volunteer Weekend

This weekend, we had a collection of volunteers gather at the museum to work on various projects. There is a large army of stuffed turtles and bears that will soon be finding their way into the gift shop to be adopted into new loving homes. Volunteers also created bookmarks and potholders, which are ALWAYS a visitor favorite!

Craft work wasn’t the only thing being done though, several of the men put their muscle together and got two projects done. Our pavilion building was prepped for an exciting new project that we’ll be revealing in the near future, and it took a lot of lifting and carrying that we couldn’t have done without them. The second is a new stone turtle display in the trail entrance! Make sure to stop in and see them on your next visit!

We’re always looking for new volunteers, so if you think you’d like to join our ranks, Contact Us and get your name on the list! We would be happy to have you!
