On a golden yellow cone flower is a very tiny butterfly. The gray wings have a waved scarlet line thick on the hindwing and thinner on the top wing. At the tip of the hindwing is a spot of black and a few long hair-like structures meant to imitate antenna and fool predators. The hairstreak butterflies all move their wings at rest to appear as if the antenna on their head are moving if a predator is stalking them.
