We have a brand new exhibit on the Local Croatoan Natives!
Opened at the end of April of this year, our new exhibit is located where we previously held our Natural History Center. It features an indoor longhouse, examples of local dress, artifacts, and recreated examples of tools that would have been used by our Hatteras Natives.
We encourage you to walk through the longhouse!
The benches are covered with things that you would have seen in a traditional Native home.
As with all our exhibits, we have plans to continue to improve on it in years to come so continue to stop back every time you visit to see what changes we’ve implemented!
